‘Pawn Stars’ star Rick Harrison calls out son Corey amid GoFundMe controversy
Rick Harrison, best known as the star of the reality show Pawn Stars, has slammed his son Corey after he used GoFundMe to cover his medical bills.
Rick revealed that his 42-year-old son does not need any help with his medical bills, which piled up after a serious motorcycle crash in Tulum, Mexico, in January.
He told PageSix, “As far as I know, I paid all of Corey’s medical bills long before he put the GoFundMe out. He is a grown man in his 40’s and is responsible for how he handles his finances.”

According to reports, the GoFundMe page was launched by his friend Aron Chambers. The page claimed that they were “raising emergency funds to cover more than $100,000 in medical bills and related expenses after a serious motorcycle accident in Tulum, Mexico, that left him fighting for his life.”
Corey, who often appeared on the TV show, broke 11 ribs and was in bed rest for weeks.
He wrote on Instagram at the time, “Pretty messed up, but I’m good. Crash bars are awesome. Three nights in the hospital. 11 breaks in my rib cage.”

The reality star and businessman was unable to attend his father’s wedding to Angie Polushkin as he needed 6 weeks of bed rest.
Aron Chambers had claimed on the GoFundMe page that his Corey had also suffered a concussion, internal bleeding, and a punctured lung in the collision. He had further alleged that Corey stayed in the hospital for 14 days and another 18 days, had three life-saving surgeries, which resulted in mounting financial pressure.
“He’s not yet strong enough to travel back to the United States for continued treatment and support from his family. This fundraiser is our lifeline to get him through this,” he wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Chambers continued, “Corey has always been the guy who works hard, stays humble, and gives back without asking for anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to rally for him. Asking for help isn’t easy for someone as independent as Corey, but this accident has changed everything, and we can’t do it alone.”
Corey shared his troubles with TMZ on March 6.
“What am I going to do, fly out to Vegas and sell stuff? I can’t move from my recliner.”
Rick had previously told the outlet, “Corey is a grown man, and he will deal with his life as he sees fit.”

Rich Harrison has been appearing on Pawn Stars since 2009. The show went on hiatus in 2025 following the death of his son, Adam, in 2024 due to a fentanyl overdose at the age of 39.
The show is set to return in 2027, but this time, Corey will not be appearing.
